Circle K International is an international collegiate service organization associated with Kiwanis International. It promotes service, leadership & fellowship. These are as well a big collegial service organization in the globe sustaining above 12,000 members.

Circle K aims to prepare "college and university students into responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to serving the children of the world" by pledging "I pledge to uphold the Objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion and goodwill toward others through service and leadership, to develop my abilities and the abilities of all people, and to dedicate myself to the realization of mankind’s potential."

History

Inside 1936, the “Circle K House� at Washington State College was established by the Kiwanis Club of Pullman, Washington. A home, organized as a fraternity, served men world health organization required financial aid to attend college. Inside 1947, Circle K changed from the fraternity to the service organization. That season, a 1st Circle K club was chartered at Carthage College in Carthage, Illinois. Within 1949, 2 further clubs were added, & by 1955 there were 147 clubs, at which point Circle K received official endorsement from either Kiwanis International. When of fall 2005, membership is comprised of all over 13,700 university student within Xvii nations.

Mission

Circle K International occurs as service organization. A major initiative "Focusing on the Future: Children" aims to help toddlers 6-13. Circle K likewise collaborates by having A Kiwanis Worldwide Service Plan which works using a United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to reduce or even eliminate spherical incidence of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD).
